Vodafone India has rejigged its top management team.

Under the new structure, the company has created two new roles, that of the chief operating officer (COO) and chief commercial officer. Sunil Sood, currently director, business operations, for the company’s operations in the South and West regions has been appointed the COO. Sanjoy Mukerji, currently the director of business operations in the North and East regions, has been appointed the chief commercial officer. Both will report to Marten Pieters, chief executive officer, Vodafone India.

The position of chief marketing officer (CMO) will cease to exist under the new structure. Kumar Ranganathan, the current CMO has been given a global role to work on the group's commercial functions. In addition, the company has created the role of director, external affairs, responsible for corporate communication, public affairs and the Vodafone foundation. A new role of business development and innovation has been created and will be headed by Jonathan Bill.
