Asian internet protocol solutions provider Broadband Network Systems (BNS) has signed an agreement with Indonesia's PT Multi Kontrol Nusantara (MKN) to deploy a multimedia on-demand shopping platform on the operator's HD IPTV service platform. Offered under the brand name BN Touch, the service is expected to be rolled out by June 2010. MKN, a part of the Indonesian conglomerate Bakrie Group, will offer BNS Touch through its subsidiaryPT Graha Multimedia Nusantara. The services, to be deployed on a fibre optic Metro-E 10G-based platform, will include convergent services such as multicast, video-on-demand (VoD), network PVR, time-shift TV, telephony, internet and gaming.
