The Supreme Court has asked RCOM and TTSL to pay Rs 4 billion and Rs 3 billion, respectively, to BSNL as part of the access deficit charge (ADC), ruling that the "Unlimited Cordless" and "Walky" services offered by the two companies amounted to wireless services. In 2005, the Telecom Disputes Settlement Appellate Tribunal (TDSAT) had also ruled that the two were mobile not fixed line services, as claimed by both companies, and had directed them to pay ADC. RCOM and the Tatas had, however, challenged the tribunal's decision in the Supreme Court.
