UTStarcom has reportedly entered into an agreement with Bell & Tell, a telecom operator in Pakistan, to provide the latter with bundled voice and data services using UTStarcom's Gigabit Ethernet Passive Optical Network (GEPON) and voice over internet protocol (VoIP) technologies. Under the agreement, Bell & Tell will deploy broadband voice and data services in two phases. In the first phase, UTStarcom will deploy its GEPON platform to deliver high speed voice, data and video services to individual and business subscribers in selected areas of the country. In the second phase, the company will extend the network to additional regions in Pakistan.
