Bharti Airtel’s HR head for India, South Asia resigns with immediate effect
Gautam Anand, chief people officer for India, South Asia, Bharti Airtel, has quit the organisation with immediate effect. He has reportedly quit due to personal reasons.
Following this development, the human resource functions of the company will report directly to Gopal Vittal, chief executive officer (CEO), Bharti Airtel, till the time someone else is appointed for this position.
Anand had joined Airtel in 2009. In May 2012, he was elevated to the position of vice-president, chief of staff for CEO, India & South Asia. As part of this role, he was closely associated with the CEO in various aspects of business management, including performance reviews, strategic updates for the board of directors, and internal and external stakeholder management.
