Reliance Jio reduces refundable deposit for Jio GigaFibre by 44 per cent

Reliance Jio has reduced the refundable security deposit for its Jio GigaFibre services by 44 per cent from Rs 4,500 to Rs 2,500 as a trial period offer, ahead of the commercial launch of its broadband services.
Moreover, during the trial period, Jio will offer its customers speeds of 100 Mbps and data usage of 100GB per month for three months for free.
The reduction of prices, which include the price of the set top box to access internet services and a fixed line telephone, is reportedly a calculated move to draw more subscribers, therefore generating more demand for Jio GigaFibre services.
According to industry sources, Jio is adding nearly 10,000 users per month in the trial phase.
