Smart cities have emerged as the biggest targets for attacks on Internet of Things (IoT) deployments during Q1, 2019, says a study by Subex. The study also mentions that India is one of the top countries that are being targetted for cyber-attacks. Meanwhile, China is one of the top countries where cyber attacks are being originated.

The study further states that interest in critical infrastructure is increasing among hackers. While India, Sweden and France are the targeted countries, Russia, China and Netherlands are named the origin of the cyberattacks.

Subex has extracted the state of IoT security in the first quarter of 2019 from their IoT Security Honeypot.
