In an effort to simplify tariffs for its prepaid customers, Bharti Airtel has reduced international subscriber dialling (ISD) call charges to Bangladesh and Nepal by around 75 per cent and 40 per cent, respectively.

To this end, per minute cost of calls to Bangladesh has reduced from Rs 12 to Rs 2.99. Likewise, per minute cost of calls to Nepal has reduced from Rs 13 to Rs 7.99.

According to Airtel, its new ISD call charges are the most affordable in the industry and eliminate the need for buying additional ISD packs to make calls to Bangladesh and Nepal. Further, Airtel expects the retail and business customers to benefit immensely from these reduced rates, which will in turn drive the consumption of minutes on these routes.
