RJIL reports net profit of Rs 6.81 billion during quarter ended September 2018; ARPU declines
Reliance Jio Infocomm Limited (RJIL) has reported a net profit of Rs 6.12 billion during the quarter ended September 2018. Further, the operator witnessed a year on year growth of 50.3 per cent in its operating revenue, which increased from Rs 61.47 billion during the quarter ended September 2017 to Rs 92.40 billion during the quarter ended September 2018.
Moreover, the operator’s earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) increased from Rs 14.43 billion to Rs 35.73 billion during the period, registering a year-on-year growth of 147.6 per cent.
However, the operator’s average revenue per user (ARPU) declined from Rs 156 per subscriber per month during the quarter ended September 2017 to Rs 131.7 per subscriber per month during quarter ended September 2018.
Meanwhile, the operator’s subscriber base stood at 252.3 million as of September 2018.
