Apple has posted revenue of $53.3 billion in the April-June quarter, 2018 which is a jump of 17 per cent when compared year-on-year (y-o-y).

Further, the service revenues for the quarter amounted to $9.5 billion, which included $236 million from resolving lawsuits such as Apple's long-running dispute with Samsung Electronics Co Ltd.

On the sale front, Apple sold 41.3 million iPhones in the fiscal third quarter, while the average iPhone selling price recorded an increase of four per cent from $694 last year to $724 this year. This could be attributed to the customers buying costlier IPhones, with IPhone X emerging as the best seller.

However, Apple was at the third position in terms of number of handsets sold in this quarter, with Samsung and Huawei taking the top two positions.
