Bharti Infratel’s net profit declined by four percent in the April-June, 2018 from Rs 6.64 billion during quarter ended June 2017 to Rs 6.38 billion during the corresponding quarter in 2018. According to the company, this can be primarily attributed to the ongoing consolidation of networks and spectrum which led to a sharp fall in co-location of telecom sites.

However, its quarterly consolidated revenue rose four per cent on a like-to-like basis to Rs 36.74 billion during the quarter under consideration.

Additionally, Bharti Infratel’s earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and ammortisation (EBITDA) also fell by four percent year-on-year to Rs 15.21 billion during the quarter ended June 2018. Meanwhile, the company’s operating free cash flow was flat at Rs 9.91 billion.

Bhart Infratel has added around 922 towers in the April-June quarter.
