Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited to increase 3G and 2G sites in Pune
Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) is planning to add 317 new 3G sites and 200 2G sites to the existing network in Pune by June 30, 2018. Further, the company is poised to provide high speed broadband up to 100 Mbps in the city owing to its fibre-to-the-home (FTTH) network.
BSNL has tied up with B4S and Tikona to provide fast internet services, on wireless to customers across the city. Approximately, 1,200 customers in Pune have opted for BSNL’s Aseem scheme under which they can retain their numbers, through a virtual landline facility, despite discontinuation of landline services.
The app-based limited fixed mobile telephony plan launched by BSNL allows users to make and receive phone calls in enclosed areas with poor network reception.
