India Mobile Congress 2017, country’s first global telecom event kick started today with top telecom leaders discussing the Vision for 2020. The dias was shared by Aruna Sundararajan, Secretary, DoT; Gopal Vittal, CEO, Airtel; Sunil Sood, CEO, Vodafone India, Mathew Oomen, President, Network, Global Strategy and Service Development, RJIL; Alex Rogers, EVP& President, Qualcomm; Karan Bajwa, MD, IBM India; and Binny Bansal, CEO, Flipkart.

TIMC 2017, is being held in Delhi from September 27 to September 29, 2017. The event will see several dignitaries from global and Indian telecom domain share their perspective and views on emerging trends in the Mobile, Internet and Technology space. The three day event will have 21 sessions which will have themes like "Digital India", "Internet Governance", "Smart Network: The future of networking", "Digital Identity for Digital World", "Women in Tech", "Emerging Technologies in a 5G Future", "Cloud & Virtualization", "Digital Infrastructure towards the Digital Economy" and many others.

The event includes a conclave, an exhibition and an awards ceremony, and will also see thematic pavilions and innovation zones, featuring 300 exhibitors from ICT, TMT as well as the Government sector, Embassies and States. The International event is expected to attract more than 500 start-ups, 2,000 delegates from India and other countries making 150,000 footfalls.
