Vodafone India has launched Gurugram’s first Wi-Fi enabled bus shelter at Huda city centre. The Wi-Fi-enabled shelter would allow customers to enjoy complimentary Wi-Fi for up to 20 minutes per day. According to Vodafone, this facility can be availed by subscribers of any telecom operator.

Vodafone’s Wi-Fi hot-spot network is currently available across 115 prime locations at Delhi-NCR. Further, the operator offers 20 minutes of free Wi-Fi services at Dilli Haat (INA Market), Khan Market, Fortis Hospital (Gurugram) and all Vodafone stores across Delhi NCR. In future, Vodafone plans to set up a few more Wi-Fi bus shelters across Delhi-NCR.

Commenting on the launch of the bus shelter, Alok Verma, business head, Vodafone Delhi-NCR, said “Vodafone is committed to contributing towards making entire Gurugram a smart city. The Wi-Fi initiative is a step towards ‘Digital India’ and creating networked and connected societies. The Wi-Fi service at the bus shelter can be availed by all mobile users irrespective of their network provider.”
