Aerovoyce to offer telecom services through VNO route

Adpay Mobile Payment Private Limited is planning to enter the Indian telecom space by launching services under the brand name 'Aerovoyce'.
The company will offer services under the mobile virtual model that was approved by the government last year. In September 2016, Telecom Ministry had received nearly 70 applications for providing telecom services under the VNO model. The VNO is an entity that provides telecom services like mobile landline and Internet, but only as a retailer for licensed telecom operators such as Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited, Mahanagar Telephone Nigam Limited, and Airtel, etc.
Aerovoyce we will pay for the infrastructure from them existing mobile operators as it does not own any spectrum. The target is to reach out to 500,000 subscribers in first year of operations. The company is planning to launch the service in Tamil Nadu, Chennai and Puducherry circles and will invest about Rs 3 billion.
