IBM India witnesses exit of several top management executives

Some of the key top management executives have quit IBM India.. Karthik Padmanabhan, who was leading the team to build the IBM cloud ecosystem across the Asia Pacific region is learnt to have left the company and joined Google India. Padmanabhan was in charge of software developers, digital cities and scale local start-ups in top 10 cities in the Asia Pacific and Japan regions.

Meanwhile, Jaideep John, sales leader, IBM mobility platform has also exited the company. In addition, Kaustubh Chandra, head (marketing), cloud portfolio who had been with the company for the last two years has also quit. Similarly, Nilkanth Iyer who was leading the cloud ecosystem team in IBM (India-South Asia) has also resigned from his position.

According to the company the exits are the result of its attempts to infuse new life into its cloud business practice, which is facing competition from Amazon Web Services and Microsoft.
