Sterlite Technologies reports a 30 per cent increase in year-on-year net profit for the quarter ended June 2016

Sterlite Technologies has reported a 30 per cent increase in its consolidated net profit, from Rs 310 million during the quarter ended June 2015 to Rs 400 million during the quarter the ended June 2016. This can be attributed to a rise of 22 per cent in the company’s revenues from Rs 4.63 billion to Rs 5.65 billion during the same period. Meanwhile, the earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation grew by 21.57 per cent from Rs 1.02 billion to Rs 1.24 billion.

The current order book of the company stands at Rs 21 billion. Further, the company has informed that its smart city projects in Gandhinagar and Jaipur are close to completion. The company is also looking to ramp up its fibre capacity to 25 million by mid-2016.
