Ericsson has announced its results for quarter ending June 2016. Sales were down 11 per cent year on year to SEK54.1 billion. The vendor saw its biggest sale declines in the Middle East followed by India.

The sales in India fell by 20 per cent to SEK 2.4 billion during the quarter-ended June 2016.

As per the company, the decline in sale recorded for India has majorly been on account of delayed spectrum auction which has resulted in slow investments form operators.

The revenue contribution from India stood at 5 per cent of the overall revenue. Ericsson India has generated SEK 1 billion revenue from networks, SEK 1.3 billion from global services and SEK 0.2 billion from software support solutions during the reported quarter.

Ericsson India had 22,541 employees in June 2016.
