RCOM reports a 22 per cent decline in its consolidated net profit for the quarter ended March 2016

Reliance Communications (RCOM) has reported a 22 per cent decline in its net profit, from Rs 2.28 billion during the quarter ended March 2015 to Rs 1.77 billion during the corresponding quarter in 2015. This was despite an increase in the company’s revenues from Rs 570.34 billion to Rs 591.89 billion during the same period. The total operating expenses of the company rose from Rs 372.7 billion to Rs 396.02 billion.

The company’s earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation (EBIDTA) declined from Rs 197.64 billion to Rs 195.87 billion while the EBIDTA margin declined from 34.7 per cent to 33.1 per cent during the reported period.
