Vodafone India reports a 9.96 per cent dip in operating profits from India operations

Vodafone India has reported a 9.96 per cent decline in its operating profits from India operations, which fell from GBP 261 million during six months ended March 2015 to GBP 235 million during the corresponding period in 2016.  This was on account of a slight rise in the operating expenditure which rose from GBP 779 to GBP 830 during the same period. Meanwhile revenue from India operations reported a small improvement from GBP 2,248 million to GBP 2,284 million.

The operators’ total subscriber base at the end of March 2016 stood at 197.94 million, a rise of 7.69 per cent over the figures for the previous year.
