Bharti Infratel reports 18.69 per cent increase in net profit for quarter ended March 2016

Bharti Infratel has reported 18.69 per cent rise in its net profit, which increased from Rs 5.57 billion during quarter ended March 2015 to Rs 6.61 billion during the corresponding quarter of 2016. Profit rose on the back of a 7.3 per cent rise in total revenue, which increased from Rs 29.46 billion to Rs 31.61 billion during the period.

Increase in revenue also led to an improvement in the earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortization margin, which increased from 45.1 per cent during quarter ended march 2015 to 45.7 per cent during the corresponding quarter in 2016.

Meanwhile, the company’s net debt (net cash) increased from Rs 27.29 billion as of March 2015 to Rs 44.86 billion as of March 2016.
