Tata Communications reports a 79.61 per cent decline in its consolidated net profits for the quarter ended December 2015

Tata Communications has reported a decline of 79.61 per cent in its consolidated net profits from Rs 1,090.3 million for the quarter ended December 2014 to Rs 222.3 million for the quarter ended December 2015. This can be attributed to an increase in the company’s expenditure, which rose from Rs 46.60 billion to Rs 49.30 billion during the same period.

Meanwhile, the company’s revenues increased marginally from Rs 49.15 billion during the quarter ended December 2014 to Rs 50.99 billion during the quarter ended December 2015. Further, the finance costs declined from Rs 1.83 billion to Rs 1.73 billion during the same period.

Moreover, the company’s revenue from voice solutions declined by about 5 per cent from Rs 21.14 billion during the quarter ended December 2014 to Rs 20.09 billion during the quarter ended December 2015.  The revenue from the data and managed services segment increased by16.7 per cent from Rs 23.33 billion to Rs 27.23 billion during the same period.
