NTT Communications granted national long distance service license
Japan-based telecommunications company NTT Communications Corporation has been granted license to provide national long distance services in India. The company intends to use it primarily for providing data services in the country and will incorporate a new entity for the purpose called the NTT Communications India Network Services Private Limited. The company will initially offer domestic connectivity to Japanese companies in India as well as Netmagic’s data centre subscribers in the country. Subsequently, the company will also offer its services to foreign firms requiring domestic connectivity and local Indian firms.
Further, NTT Communications is also looking to provide Internet Protocol Virtual Private Network (IP-VPN) and other high-quality connectivity services that are required by businesses in India.
