RCOM and Vodafone award Rs 350 million software contracts to mCarbon
Reliance Communications (RCOM) and Vodafone India have awarded software contracts worth Rs 150 million and Rs 200 million respectively, to Noida-based mobile value-added services provider, mCarbon. The company is also reportedly in discussions with Reliance Jio Infocomm Limited, to develop video-based solutions such as video ring back tone.
The three-year contracts have been awarded to mCarbon for its revenue enhancement products, consolidated call management solution and Interactive End of Call Notification (iEOCN) solution. The revenue enhancement products to be supplied by mCarbon include talk time commerce (micro credit service), wherein customers can gift or lend talk time to other users.
Presently, Bharti Airtel is the largest customer of mCarbon’s products, with deployments across India, Bangladesh and Africa.
mCarbon is operational in South Asia and Vietnam and some of its solutions are being implemented in select countries of Africa as well. The company has started working with Zain and MTN for certain verticals and countries.
