Suresh Reddy, vice-president of Huawei’s enterprise business group, brings to the table over 14 years of work experience. He has in the past worked with HCL Infosystems, Dell India, HP India, Oracle and GE. Of these, he considers his stint with Dell India as his most memorable. “Dell India has been among the fastest growing technology companies in the country. Facilitating the transformation and growth of its global applications and products was a noteworthy assignment,” he says. He specifically refers to the time he initiated and spearheaded the company’s indirect business or the commercial channels in India. This task included fast-tracking the development of these businesses while ensuring global delivery of next-generation technology solutions. “Such products and services included applications and domain consulting, cloud integration, mobility and process capabilities to power global corporations, governments and institutions. The entire process was extremely challenging,” he says.

So, what does his role at Huawei entail? “My current role includes strategic planning and execution and transforming business challenges into solutions that contribute to long-term success for IT deployments through value-added partners. We believe in technology leadership and innovation to provide differentiated value to our customers,” he states.

Although relatively new, the company’s enterprise business group has performed fairly well in the past year, he says. There is, however, still a long way to go. “Last year, we were able to bag many clients in the large enterprise and small and medium businesses spaces. Going forward, we aim to consolidate our market position and achieve the next level of growth for the business in the ICT segment.”

He believes that likely future trends in the industry will facilitate this process. “The telecom market is witnessing growth as operators are investing heavily to gear up for demand for data services. Also on the agenda is building robust and intelligent networks to support future technology requirements and transition,” he says.

Reddy believes in putting his weight behind his team. “My primary goal is to enable people and businesses to focus their energies on achieving their aspirations. I believe in trusting in my team and participating as a team member rat-her than as a leader per se,” he says. Reddy enjoys reading, travelling and spending time with his wife and two girls.
