Infotel Broadband shortlists vendors for its optical network transmission gear

Reliance Industries Limited-owned Infotel Broadband has shortlisted three vendors for supplying it optical network transmission gear worth $500 million, say news reports.
It has shortlisted Infinera Corporation, Ciena Communications and Alcatel-Lucent for supplying the telecom equipment.
Infotel Broadband is investing in transmission gear based on dense wave division multiplexing (DWDM) technology to enhance bandwidth capacity of its high-speed wireless broadband networks.
The selected vendors will be responsible for handling system design, supply, installation, commissioning and integration of DWDM equipment.
