ZTE Corporation has completed interoperability testing of long-term-evolution (LTE)/Evolved Packet Core for German-based operator, E-Plus.

ZTE provided EPC core network infrastructure equipment for E-Plus and carried out multi-vendor integration testing with several Ericsson LTE base stations as part of the E-Plus LTE trial network.

Commenting on the development, Rafal Markiewicz, chief technology officer, E-Plus Group, said, "All of the tests conducted have a central goal, which is to offer customers an optimal web browsing experience, anytime, anywhere."

Xu Ziyang, vice-president, ZTE, added, "ZTE provides an open and flexible LTE end-to-end solution that supports multi-mode multi-band network construction to meet network operators' roll-out needs. In the past few years, ZTE has been working in the 3G field with E-Plus to offer continuous service and support for the network."
